We kickoff the day with Chicago Fed National Activity Index at 7:30 A.M., Dallas Fed Manufacturing Index at 9:30 A.M., Export Inspections at 10:00 A.M., 3-Month & 6-Month Bill Auction at 10:30 A.M., 2-Year Note Auction and 30-Day Bill Auction at 12:00 P.M., Cold Storage at 2:00 P.M., and Crop Progress at 3:00 P.M.
First Notice Day against December CBOT futures is Friday and liquidation of December futures is expected on this shortened holiday week. A large 271,434 contracts of December corn futures as of Friday’s settlement. Historically 20 to 40 thousand contracts open is the norm on First Notice Day. Expect sizable liquidation volumes in the next three trading sessions.
