DEC CORN

 

The mkt is still consolidating losses sustained from the surprise bearish Qtly Stocks Report 9-30-26! And now with the Oct WASDE due out Fri 10-9-26, the mkt is continuing to sideways trade as traders reign in their positions! Today, disappointing export sales & a strong dollar have provided headwinds while the tailwinds of 2 wars, Hurricane Isias & Super El Nino are supporting on breaks!

 

NOV BEANS

China is returning from their Golden Week Holiday tonight & hopes are up they’ll continue buying from the US in front of their APEC Summit in Mid-Nov! Harvest is only 25% done (avg -33) due to excessive rains of late! A drop in the good-excellent crop ratings has buoyed corn/beans early week! Geopolitical events are favoring the CBOT as the US mid-terms are likely going Democratic & Brazil’s probable new President is leaning right meaning less acres for their farm land Tomorrow’s  WADSE will update yield & production now estimated at 52.9 bpa & 4.54 bb!

 

DEC WHT

Dec Wht has lost over $1.00 since early Sept has a higher US dollar has lessened exports & the bullishness of the US-Ukraine War has been dialed into the price! Todays export sales were on the low end of expectations – and the Thur USDA Report is leaning on the bearish side for US Wht Demand!

 

DEC CAT

Dec Cat has recovered from its $30 break from late June to late Aug – which in & of itself has created additional demand & the total cattle herd is the smallest in decades! We see seasonal uptrends kicking in – as cattle should grind higher thru year-end!

 

DEC HOGS

With cash prices & cut-out sinking & average hog weights rising, the fundamental picture for Dec Hogs is bleak & technical rallies seem to fail as weak supply/demand factors sabotage the mkt! Even a rallying cattle mkt couldn’t inject spillover support to the weak hog mkt! Possibly, upcoming Holiday Demand will rescue the mkt!
