DEC CORN

After a $1.00 rally since July 1 off premiums from 2 wars, China demand, Super El Nino brewing in the southern Hemisphere, shrinking yields & tightening global stocks, Dec Corn is taking a breather – consolidating in front of the Sept WADE Report due out tomorrow at 11am! China is coming to the US Sept 24 to further solidify our trade with them! The path of least resistance is clearly higher!

NOV BEANS

Since early August, Nov Beans jumped $1.50 as both the Persian Gulf & Black Sea wars escalated – raising crude over $100/barrel – which rallied bean oil & beans & cutting Black Sea exports by 50%! China continues to buy US beans – 5 flash sales in the past 2 days – in front of their late Sept to the US! Yields seem to be ratcheting down -in front of the Sept USDA Report Fri! Super El Nino could very well negatively impact Brazil/ Arg production – just as it did to the European crops! And Trump – at only a 36% approval rating – desperately needs the farm vote for the upcoming Nov Mid-terms!

DEC WHT

Dec Wht has been buffeted about by geopolitical issues – namely the Russian-Ukraine War – which has cut Black Sea Exports by 50% – causing a $1.50 rally since early August – but then breaking 60 cents – when Russian President Putin announced he was hopeful for a peace proposal! As well, the corn & beans have provided spill-over support! With the 2 wars raging, Super El Nino lurking over the Southern Hemisphere & carry-over stocks tightening – the Dec Wht will follow Corn/Beans lead on the upside -as a rising tide floats all boats!

OCT CAT

After losing $30 since mid-June, Oct Cat has finally digested all the bad news including the border reopenings & the higher feed-costs from the CBOT – and is focusing on the lower placements #’s in recent Cattle-on-Feed Reports! That coupled with the increased demand generated by the break – has turned cattle around –  with higher closes in the last week! –

OCT HOGS

The charts indicate a turn-around to the upside – plus fundamentally average weights & slaughter are down from last year/week! Also, the consumer – pressed by higher gas costs -is opting for the cheaper pork cuts over the more expensive beef cuts!
