We kickoff the day with Durable Goods Orders MoM, Durable Goods Orders Ex Transportation MoM, Durable Goods Orders ex Defense, and Non Defense Goosa d Orders Ex Air at 7:30 A.M., Redbook YoY at 7:55 A.M., S&P Case-Shiller Home Price MoM & YoY, Home Price Index, and Home Price Index MoM and YoY at 8:00 A.M., CB Consumer Confidence, Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index, Richmond Fed Manufacturing Sipments Index, and Richmond Fed Services Index at 9:00 A.M., Dallas Fed Manufacturing Index and Dallas Fed Services Index at 9:330 A.M., 2-Yeaar FRN Auction and 42-Day Bill Auction at 10:330 A.M., 7-Year Note Auction and Money Supply at 12:009 P.M. and API Energy Stocks at 3:30 P.M.
CBOT corn futures closed lower for the second consecutive session with funds modest sellers of 4,600 contracts and was able to bounce near the close and it will see if the market can push back above $4.90 or there is a risk of new liquidation. Corn futures are overbought. China will enter their Lunar New Year holiday with limited overseas corn purchases. These leaves the world market seeking additional demand as an early seasonal high is forming in US corn.
