This morning we kickoff the day with Unemployment at 7:30 A.M., FED Chair Jerome Powell will be giving a speech on the economy in Chicago and we have Consumer Credit 2:00 P.M. And their back at it again with President Trump upping the ante threatening an additional $100 billion more in China tariffs. And China barked back saying they would respond to American protectionism at all cost. And that deep sixth the Stock Market again. If we see dialogue the market could be back on the upswing again in these volatile times where investors get skittish real quick. On the Corn front is seeing red like the rest of the Grain complex over the tariff news. In the overnight electronic session the May Corn is currently trading at 385 ¾ which is 3 ¾ cents lower. The trading range has been 387 ½ to 382.

On the Ethanol front the market is trading lower with China signaling yesterday that U.S. imports of Ethanol are a sure bet target for additional tariffs to this commodity. In the overnight electronic session the May contract is currently trading at 1.409 which is .013 lower. The trading range has been 1.421 to 1.409. The market is currently showing 1 bid @ 1.412 and 2 offers @ 1.416. 12 contracts changed hands with Open Interest at 1,081 contracts.

On the Crude Oil front the May contract is currently trading at 6305 which is 50 lower. The trading range has been 6379 to 6282. The market still has bullish fundamentals and one would expect the market to close higher but the fear of a trade war has out a pall over this market for now.

On the Natural Gas front colder than normal temperatures and wintery weather is going to stick around for a while help support this market after yesterday’s down day trading session. In the overnight electronic session the May contract is currently trading at 2.695 which is 2 cents higher. The trading range has been 2.717 to 2.675.

Have a Great Trading Day!
