Dollar remains weak.
Financials: Mar. Bonds are currently 20 lower at 147’06, 10 Yr. Notes 7 lower at 121’11 and 5 Yr. Notes 3.5 lower at 114’19.2. Yesterday the FOMC left rates unchanged but in the meetings language left the door open for a March rate hike citing expected inflation of 2% for 2018, continued employment gains and an overall improvement of economic activity. I feel that this is currently in the market and have no Interest Rate Sector positions at this time. That being said, as mentioned last week, I expect the Bonds to support at the 147’00 level and will go long with a 15-20 tick risk. Bonds too volatile, consider the 5 or 10 Yr. notes when (if) the Bonds touch this level.
Grains: Mar. Corn is fractionally lower at 361’0, Mar. Beans 7’0 lower at 989’0 and Mar. Wheat 5’2 lower at 446’4. A change in forecast for S. America from near drought conditions to the possibility of rain has put a cap on the market for the moment. Mar. Corn has met my upside objective of 360’0-363’0. I recommend taking profits from long Mar. Corn positions.
Cattle: Quite a volatile week as Feb. LC traded as low as 122.25 and as high as 126.60. WE recommended going short above 123.25 and still like the short side of the market. That being said, I may have made a tactical error by selling Feb. instead of Apr. I am recommending moving positions to Apr. contracts.
Silver: Mar. Silver is currently 3 cents lower at 17.21. I remain long.
S&P’s: Mar. S&P’s are currently 3.75 lower at 2822.00. Still on the sidelines. Next week I will start looking at both call and put spreads.
Currencies: As of this writing the Euro is 40 higher at 1.24875, the Yen 42 lower at 0.91465, the Pound 48 higher at 1.4248 and the Dollar Index 11.9 lower at 88.835. Dollar still looks headed lower in spite of rising domestic interest rates. Continue to trade the Pound from the long side on breaks.

Regards,
Marc
