Financials: Dec. Bonds are currently 15 lower at 153’28, 10 Yr. Notes 3 lower at 125’05.0 and 5 Yr. Notes 2 lower at 117’04.2. During the last week we were able to sell the Dec. Bonds above the 154’00 level as the market traded as high as 154’26. If you took advantage of the rally and went short, either take profits or use a protective buy stop at 154’19. If the market trades below 153’19 and you remain short, lower your stop to 154’06.
Grains: Dec. Corn is currently unchanged at 348’2, Jan. Beans 4’2 higher at 1002’6 and Dec. Wheat 0’4 higher at 427’2. There is a crop report at 11:00 this morning. I will be looking to be a buyer in Dec. Corn below 336’0 and a buyer in Jan. Beans below 955’0 should the Report be negative.
Cattle: Live and Feeder Cattle closed sharply lower yesterday. Doing some simple math I’m estimating that doing a “cattle crush spread” of long Jan. Feeders and short June Live Cattle you would be locking in a $60-80.00 dollar a head loss. Something has got to give to push the market back into profitability. Either the Feeders will break or the live will rally in relation to the Feeders. I’ve placed my sentiment on the short side of the market.
Silver: Dec. Silver is currently a penny lower at 17.13. I remain long.
S&P’s: Dec. S&P’s are currently 14.00 lower at 2577.00. We remain short the combination of short futures and short the Dec. 2400 put. This position remains at a loss.
Currencies: As of this writing the Dec. Euro is currently 23 higher at 1.16425, the Yen 28 higher at 0.88310, the Pound unchanged at 1.3126 and the Dollar Index 17 lower 94.598. We remain short the Euro from above the 94.00 level with a risk of 150 points. Should the market trade below 94.25, lower your stop to 95.20. I will be looking to go long the Pound below 1.2900.

Regards,
Marc
