Financials: Dec. Bonds are currently 0’17 higher at 151’14, 10 Yr. Notes 0’05.5 higher at 124’20.0 and 5 Yr. Notes 0’02.5 higher at 117’01.2. The markets await decision on choice for Fed Chairmanship with the betting favorite now being John Taylor who appears to be more hawkish on rates than 2nd favorite current Fed Chair Janet Yellen. In other news, the ECB has left rates unchanged and stated “QE purchases to go beyond Sept. 2018 if necessary”. This could rally Bonds as investors hunt for higher yields. I remain a seller above the 154’00 level in Bonds and above 126’00 in the 10 Yr. Notes. On the other side of the coin, so to speak, I will be a buyer below the 148’08 level in Bonds..Of note: The spread in yield between the 30 Yr. and 10 yr. remained about steady at 52 basis points (give or take a minor fluctuation) despite the recent price break.
Grains: Dec. Corn is currently unchanged at 351’0, Nov. Beans 1’0 higher at 976’4 and Dec. Wheat unchanged at 435’4. I remain on the sidelines awaiting a sharp break to be a buyer. I’m living by the old adage, “never sell a sleeping market”.
Cattle: Last Friday’s bearish Cattle on Feed Report which showed an increase of 13% on placements was offset by a friendly Cold Storage Report which saw a decrease in red meat inventories from year ago levels of 519,022,000 to 487,412,000 pounds. This rally afforded us the opportunity to go short Feb. LC in the 123.00-124.00 area (currently 124.725).
Silver: Dec. Silver is currently 4 cents higher at 16.97. I remain long.
S&P’s: Dec. S&P’s are currently 1.50 higher 2560.00. We remain short a combination of futures and out of the money puts with a loss on the futures of 11.00 points and a profit on the short 2400 put of 2.00 points.
Currencies: As of this writing the Dec. Euro is currently 58 lower at 1.17595, the Yen 9 lower at 0.88045, the Pound 57 lower at 1.3219 and the Dollar Index 39.3 higher at 93.960. I am a seller in the Dollar above 94.00 with an initial 150 point risk.

Regards,
Marc
